We've all found it hard to be inspired sometime in our lives. Motivation slips away and nothing seems all that interesting.
But the truth is, inspiration is everywhere.
I find inspiration quite easy when writing poetry. The whole world is full of topics and themes and issues you can explore. All you have to do is pick something you find interesting and let your imagination run wild!
But I've never really applied this to writing fiction. You would think it would be a similar process, but writing a story can seem like a much more demanding task. You have to create a whole other world; characters, back-stories, settings. It can be daunting. But it can also be an amazing challenge. In reality it really should all be the same type of process.
Look outside your window. There's a story out there somewhere.
