So as some of you may know, Theseus Publishing came about as the product of a university project. Basically, for one of our second year modules, me and Becky decided to start this website in order to learn more about editors of magazines from a writer's perspective, so we know what goes on behind the scenes when we submit our own work to various places.
To be perfectly honest, upon starting this magazine I was interested and enthusiastic but I never saw myself as someone who would want to do this as a day job. However, as the months wore on and the submissions trickled in, with every article I wrote I realised just how much this appealed to me as a writer. To say the least, this has put my mind at ease, as even though I'm doing a Creative Writing course, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do after uni other than sit there and write novels in a small cottage - which would require me winning copius amounts of money.
So yes, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has submitted to Theseus or helped us along our way. It's shaped my career path for the future and I've enjoyed myself along the way. Though the project is nearing it's end, the magazine will continue (we don't want to let down our loyal readers and writers do we?) and there will be many many more blog posts like this as me and Becky continue our journey as writers, students and editors.
